Christmas is big news in Granada - the frosty peaks of the Sierra Nevada mountain range dominate the city, whose magic is encapsulated in the Moorish ambiance, the dreamlike beauty of The Alhambra Palace, the stunning architecture and the rich Andalusian cuisine. On Nochebuena (Christmas Eve), copious amounts of fresh local seafood, cured hams, sweet Turron and fine Spanish wines are consumed into the small hours.
